All The Little Things
Just retuned from my first trip to Lembeh and let me just say the diving lives up to it’s reputation. If you’re looking for the weird and wonderful, Lembeh has it in abundance. During my stay, just about every dive there was something new, be it a critter I’ve never seen before or some animal behavior new to me. Surprisingly, there is also nice coral on some dive sites.
As for the resort and dive center, it’s no wonder why they have such an excellent reputation. The resort itself is beautiful, very clean and well maintained. The dive center is also well set up and laid out, camera room and dive equipment area conveniently located making gearing up for the dive, or changing the batteries on your camera, a breeze.
What truly made the trip for me though was the resort and dive center staff. Everybody really goes out of their way to make you feel at home. It seemed like only after a few days on the resort everybody knows your name. Even staff that you don’t even recall meeting will greet you by name, a very nice touch. The dive guides are fantastic, very well trained, attentive, and knowledgeable, with eagle eyes. Without them most of my photos would have been of sand or rubble. All the managers also really make you feel welcome, always around to help, or even just for a chat. They really put the effort in to make your stay as good as it can be.
Overall Lembeh Resort and Critters@Lembeh are extremely well run operations. They do all the little things right that add up to fantastic overall experience. Great diving, facilities, and people, really what more could you ask for?
