Ethan Daniels is a freelance marine photojournalist and dive guide currently based in Berkeley, California. Annual travels and assignments take him all over the planet, from the rich, temperate waters of the northern Atlantic and the eastern Pacific, to the warm, diverse Coral Triangle, Andaman Sea, and Caribbean. Having spent his youth on the shores of New England, Ethan became fascinated with the bizarre marine life that thrives beneath the water line. He studied biology at Bucknell University and completed graduate school at the University of Guam Marine Laboratory in 1999, focusing on the behavioral ecology of reef fishes. Ethan spent most of a decade living in Micronesia, studying and photographing the region’s unique marine habitats, flora and fauna. Favoring parts of the world that are off-the-beaten-track, he currently combines his passions for natural history and photography to guide, write, and help preserve the integrity of the world’s marine ecosystems. Ethan’s latest work can be found at OceanStockImages.com and his first solo-authored book, Under Cape Cod Waters, published in 2010 by Union Park Press, is now on bookshelves and available online. His upcoming book, Coral Triangle Seascapes, to be published by Asian Geographic, is due out in late 2011.

Carlos fell in love with the ocean since he first wore a diving mask in the 70’s. His mum still remembers him going to sleep wearing his fins and mask. A former computer engineer, he quitted his office job in rainy England and move to the warm tropics. In the 90’s he worked as dive instructor, camera man and photographer in the Caymans, Australia and Papua New Guinea. His work as photographer has taken him to the most remote and exciting dive destinations in all six continents, from Antarctica to Micronesia.
His photos have illustrated 80 front covers and are published in magazines around the world, used for advertising and displayed in aquariums and museum exhibitions. He is a regular contributor for Sport Diver, Scuba Diving and Inmersión  magazines.
He is an award winner in the BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year photo contest and the Antibes’s World Festival of Underwater Picture. He was named “2008 European Wildlife Photographer of the Year” in the underwater category.
With his pictorial and written stories Carlos spreads an environmental message increasing awareness of marine issues.
At present he runs the MagicSea.com photo library and shares his passion for the ocean and underwater photography through photo clinics and trips in the best diving destinations with viajesfotosub.com
