Christmas celebration 2015, a year full of joy!
There are many traditions at Lembeh Resort, which are repeated from year to year, but at no time of the year is it more obvious than at Christmas time. The annual “Staff Christmas Party” has been running for many consecutive years and has become a day for everyone to come together and celebrate the friendships that have bonded over the years on our little island in North Sulawesi.
Alex Rorimpandey opened Lembeh Resort in 2002 with only 6 cottages and 40 members of staff, over the years as friendships have grown, so has the resort. Today Lembeh Resort and Critters@Lembeh Resort have more than 110 employees, all from the region of North Sulawesi.
Some of our team-members have been diving in Lembeh Strait since before anyone even knew what “muck-diving” meant, and many have started working in Lembeh Resort with no prior experience in tourism. Over the years as the team has grown so have their skills, their Independence and their families, within Lembeh Resort and in their homes.
We owe it all to those of you who have visited us in the past or who have plans of coming in the future, on behalf of the entire Lembeh Resort and Critters@Lembeh Resort team we would like to say thank you for giving our staff the opportunity to live the fun-filled lives that they have!
Merry Christmas!
True to tradition of course the two owner families attended the all the festivities!

Before food of course first there was singing and praying
After the singing we had a feast of local specialities set out for the hungry team, as you can see the suckling pig was very popular with the dive-guides
Hendy, our pastry-chef, ruled the dance-floor as well as the desserts of the evening!
