What Gerry’s Been Seeing In Lembeh
With over 14 endemic fish in North Sulawesi and 9 endemic to Lembeh, Gerry has been very excited to be able to do research in such a productive area. Some of the photos he uses in his seminars are not his own photos, so it’s been great for him to be able to capture his own images of some of these shy and sometimes elusive fish. A few of these he’s never seen in their natural habitat so to be able to gather additional data on them is important, like how they move and hunt. There is always something new to discover in Lembeh and after seeing the Bryozoan Goby for the first time the other day, Gerry is eager to go back and get more data. Just today he said “there are still a lot of mystery and facts about fish that are still not known”.
Below is some of Gerry’s fish collection in Lembeh Strait. To see more of his images, go to Gerry’s gallery on our website.
