Lembeh Gulen Critter Shootout day 5 – Fish Training Day at Lembeh Resort
After a late night yesterday deciding on our final choice of images to submit for the invertebrate round of the shootout we decided to have an easy start to the day. Of course, we spent some time (…around 10 seconds), thinking about our competitors in the icy Norwegian waters while we enjoyed the glorious Lembeh sunshine poolside!
Training this morning with Tobias Friedrich was a mix of looking at different techniques for shooting fish and recommendations on which lenses to use for various sizes of species. Tobias led the team through a series of fish images highlighting mistakes to avoid and effects that can be utilised to add drama, movement and highlight colors and features.
Everyone is looking forward to a great day of three dives in the Lembeh Strait and mastering fish underwater photography at some of Indonesia’s best muck diving sites. If all goes to plan we are hoping to be the winners of the “Gold” selection of prizes which includes liveaboard vouchers from World Wide Dive and Sail, Ursuit dry suits (so we can check out Norway too…..), some great resort stays and diving packages, plus much more.
If you haven’t voted yet for your favorite invertebrate image please do so before 4am, 26th May, Lembeh time by clicking this link: https://tradablebits.com/tb_app/436025
