A Touch of Luxury: Lembeh Resort Unveils New Spa

Lembeh Resort is delighted to announce the grand opening of our brand-new Spa! After an exhilarating day of diving in the Lembeh Strait, the Spa provides a welcoming place to soothe sore muscles, restore balance, and relax. It also sets a new standard for wellness and relaxation in the region, with an array of features for visitors to explore and enjoy.
The Spa features two treatment rooms with two massage beds each, along with ensuite bathrooms and showers. There’s a separate mani-pedi area, with views overlooking a water feature. This provides an idyllic backdrop for beauty treatments, and the sound of trickling water makes the experience even more peaceful.
The end of a long journey
Plans to build the new spa first began back in 2019, but were delayed by the Covid pandemic. In early 2024, we were finally able to get things moving again, although progress was slow, as we wanted to avoid disturbance to our guests during construction – as the spa is located close to guest rooms and the restaurant, we were very careful to keep noise and disruption to a minimum.
“We wanted to create something special,” explains Tarken Sever, Manager of Guest Relations at Lembeh Resort. ‘We worked with a dedicated team of architects and interior designers, along with construction and finishing experts, to make sure everything about the new spa was absolutely perfect. I was constantly checking local flower shops to make sure every detail conveys the atmosphere we were looking for – connecting the spa experience with the relaxing nature of Lembeh Resort outside.”
“We are so proud of our new oasis,” explains Kathrin Heussner, General Manager of Lembeh Resort. “It’s such a wonderful and relaxing place to wind down and treat yourself between the dives, spend a rainy afternoon, or even make it a main part of your trip.”

Traditional massages and modern beauty treatments
The Spa has been designed to be cozy and welcoming, like a home away from home. There’s a beautiful seating area where guests can relax before and after their treatments, while large windows and skylights also bathe the space in soft, natural lighting during the day. In the evenings, carefully positioned lighting creates a warm and welcoming feel, adding to the intimacy and ambiance.
To provide guests with a blissful setting in which to relax, we’ve chosen a warm palette of colors for the décor, turning the interior of the spa into a welcoming enclave where they can rest, take a breather, and indulge in a wide selection of traditional massages and modern beauty treatments, delivered by our team of experienced and professional therapists.
The extensive massage menu includes aromatherapy, Balinese and Swedish massages, along with warm stone massage and body scrub treatments. In addition to manicure and pedicure for hands and feet, the Spa provides a Happy Feet Reflexology package, which can be combined with the Classic Facial Refresher or Lembeh Superfood Facial. Delivered by attentive professionals in a peaceful setting, these treatments provide indulgence and revitalization from head to toe.

Connected to nature, designed to nurture
In keeping with the rest of the resort, the Spa has been inspired by and integrated into its natural surroundings. The building is embraced by verdant green foliage, and utilizes a range of natural materials in its design. Whether gazing out onto our gardens from the windows, or listening to the trickle of running water by the pond, guests will find a place to immerse themselves in nature, while nurturing body, mind, and soul.
For Kathrin, Tarkan, and the design team it was essential to create, not only a beautiful building, but a complete experience for guests. “It was really important for us that we create a place where guests can disconnect from the world while staying at Lembeh Resort and have that well-deserved break,” explains Kathrin, who believes the new spa complements the holistic experience on offer in Lembeh. “We already provide great culinary experiences, unique dive experiences, excellent service, and now also some personal luxury in the new spa!”
The Spa allows Lembeh Resort to take a giant leap forwards in our mission to provide guests with an all-round experience at Lembeh Resort – from diving and photography to cultural immersion, conservation, relaxation, and wellness. It will remain open until after dinner and following night dives, so guests can get a little R&R when they need it most. For those who visit in the months ahead, a rejuvenating experience awaits.
“It was so much fun putting all the details together,” explains Tarkan. “We hope our guests are as excited as we are!”
