That’s a Wrap! 3rd Annual "Capturing Critters in Lembeh" Workshop has Officially Come to an End
On the one hand, it means that it’s time to leave Lembeh’s critter-filled muck behind, but on the other hand, everyone is leaving the 10-day workshop with a new arsenal of shooting techniques, a greater understanding of lighting, and the ability to organise and post-process images like a pro!
It was incredible how quickly participants soaked up the information that presenters were spitting out – Sascha groomed one guest into a lean mean video editing machine, I took one guest from shooting in auto-mode to full manual after a few one-on-one sessions, Erin single-handedly transformed everyone’s workflow from chaotic clutter to a well-oiled machine (now keep it that way, everyone!), and Dimpy taught everyone loads about some of the local Lembeh celebrities (i.e.pygmy seahorses, flamboyant cuttlefish, etc.).
The dive guides at critters@Lembeh have an uncanny ability to find subjects – we had a seemingly unending flow of subjects to shoot. This is why Lembeh is the perfect place for a workshop… you can immediately test out new techniques and skills on rare, beautiful, and interesting animals! Setting the workshop in a gem like Lembeh Resort doesn’t hurt either 🙂
If you’re interested in honing your critter capturing skills, then you should definitely jump on next year’s 4th annual Capturing Critters in Lembeh workshop!
