Antennarius hispidus
Hispid frogfish
Found on sandy and muddy substrate of sheltered bays as well as on exposed reefs. This species may have different degree of filamentous appendages overgrowing its body. Its colour can range from white, yellow, and brown to black. They may be mistaken for A. striatus but A. hispidus do not have as profound stripes across the body and the lure like appendage has a pom-pom shape rather than a worm shape.
