Body size is about 15 cm. Base color is orange to yellow; broad mantle has 2 or 3 lobes which are outlined in white and have a series of blue or purple dots. A toxic elongated skin flap protecting the gills gives this nudi its characteristic ‘T’ shape. Emperor shrimps often hitch a ride on their broad mantles.
