This species has twin spiral tentacles with extremely variable colors. They are round and look like Christmas trees. They have a yellowish operculum. They live in hard corals such as coral heads and penetrate with a calcareous tube.

This kind of worm is known for its painful sting. They have a shorter body than other amphinomids and different color markings on their dorsal surface. They can be found on or under sand and mud bottoms, actively crawling on the surface and often attracted to lights at night.

This scale worm has at least 21 pairs of large soft scales and their underside has large lamellae at the base of each parapodium. The color pattern of the worm mimics their sea cucumber host.

This worm is well camouflaged and commonly lives on sea stars. They are thought to mimic the tube feet of a sea star. They have orange coloration with numerous white tubercles. Their body size is up to 4 cm.

Found on sandy bottoms, this is a nocturnal species. They live in their burrow during the day and protrude their head with massive jaws during the night when they hunt for fish.
