This species has about six U-shaped saddles on back and ten bars on lower side. It has wavy white line along middle of side extending onto tail. Lives in reef areas, 1 - 25 depth.

This species has five brown to reddish saddles on back and a spotted tail fin with a red margin. It has eight to nine darkish bars on side, and black on first dorsal fin. Lives in sand areas, 10 - 40 m depth.

This species has a white body with darkish saddles on back and narrow bars aligned between saddles on sides. It has a black stripe from snout through eye. Lives solitary or forms groups in sand areas, 5 - 35 m depth.

This species has a whitish body with about eight dark squarish bars on its back and about eight dark bars on lower body aligned between bars on back. It has a narrow dark bar below eye and yellow or translucent tail. Lives solitary or forms groups in sand and reef areas, 1 - 20 m depth.

The male have gray tan back with darkish blotches, white below with row of black centered orangish brown bars or spots on lower body, dark ocellated spot above gill cover. Size up to 18 cm. Found in rubble or sandy area. The female similar to male but lack ocellated spot, both have tiny black spots on cheek and white or yellow streak in tail.

White under color, irregular dark making on back with 9 gray to black bars on side with 2 rows of black spots between, tail are yellow to greenish. Found on sandy and rubble area. Size is up to 14 cm.
