Body has brown blotch with white edging or tips on fin rays around head and body. Some small hair on upper surface of body. It is a nocturnal species and found buried in the sand of coastal waters.

Reddish brown and dark edge light spots, have random cluster small yellow spots and stay solitary in sand. Has a toxic glands along the base of dorsal and anal fins. Lives on sandy bottoms of coastal water.

Grey base colour with numerous brown bars and wide black margin along the body. This species is nocturnal and use undulating motion when swimming in open water. Inhabit sand and coral areas of coastal reefs.

Have shades of brown color with line of reticulum. Some ring and spots, 2-4 pairs of large black spots ringed with white dots. Found in sandy and mud bottom in coastal areas.

Coloration is brown with dark stripes and spots on the body and white spots on the fins. Can be easily recognised by a set of long dorsal rays, which are spread in front of the animal when agitated. Solitary on sandy and silty bottoms of sheltered bays and estuaries. It feeds on benthic animals, including octopus.

Shades of brown with scattered black speckles. Undulating brown blotches and circles and pale spots. Both eyes are positioned on the right side of the head. Solitary. Inhabit silty or sandy substrates along coastal slopes and estuaries.

Solitary. Mostly found on sandy bottoms near coastal coral and rocky reefs, where it perfectly camouflages into the environment. Its first dorsal ray has been modified into a fishing rod and lure, much like the one frogfish possess. Predates on fish and octopuses. They have been observed attacking and killing mimic, coconut octopus and wonderpus.
