Giving back to the children of Lembeh Island!

At Lembeh Resort we have a long-standing tradition of supporting and working closely with our neighboring Pintu Kota villages.

Since Alex Rorimpandey and his family opened Lembeh Resort in 2002 we have initiated several projects to help build brighter futures for the less fortunate families in our area.

Our projects have ranged from supplying building materials and electricity for the church to creating a “PC learning-center” for children to learn about using modern technology.

In recent years we have also been fortunate enough to be able to act as “ambassadors of good will” for our guests and we have received many donations in the form of school materials and funds to purchase school uniforms and other vital items.

This year we are proud to say that with your help we managed to supply 33 children with a complete package of books, crayons, pens, calculators and school uniforms!

On your next visit to Lembeh Resort, if you would like to help our local children, feel free to bring something along. We suggest very basic English children’s books, coloring pens and pencils, very simple English dictionaries, group sports accessories or even musical instruments. We would also like to provide English language DVDs to help the locals improve their English in the hopes of helping them to realize greater employment opportunities in the future.
