Leopard Crinoid Shrimp
Hides in the arms and in underneath of crinoids (feather stars), where it seeks protection. It adopts the colour pattern of its host by repositioning pigment cells in its carapace.Similar species with the same habitat include: Periclimenes cornutus., P. commensalis, P. ceratophthalmus.The size is up to 1.8 cm, it stay in the crinoids and it camouflage it self like the crinoids. Very little knowing about the relationship of the shrimp and the crinoids.
