Sexy shrimp
Found in pair or small groups around tube anemones, carpet anemones and corals. It is not a cleaner shrimp, but when approaches it sways its tail and hence the common name sexy shrimp. This Shrimp have a brown color it have a saddle of large opalescent spots on its thorax and abdomen. These spots are circled by a thin purple outline. Similar colored spots occur at the base of and in the tail, on the abdominal plates. And on the eye stalk. Individual hold their tail almost vertically. Comensal on corals and number of anemone species. Usually observed in pairs, but you may find as many as six or eight individuals on a single host. Female nearly twice the size of male.
